How to remove Windows Live Messenger from Windows 7?

Using The Control Panel

To remove the Windows Live Messenger simply uninstall it via the Programs & Features Control Panel.

1. Step Click on Start, Control Panel, Programs and then on Uninstall a program
2. Step Scroll down to the very end of the list of installed programs
3. Step Right-click on Windows Live Messenger and click on Uninstall7Change

4. Step Select “Uninstall” and click on Next
5. Step Check Windows Live Messenger and follow the instructions to remove the Windows Live Messenger from Windows 7.

Alternatively, don’t remove the Live messenger and simply download a client such as Pidgin.
