If you want to create a quick-launch toolbar and move some of your existing taskbar icons you need to know where the taskbar icons are actually stored

1. Step Open the Windows Explorer

2. Step Go to C:\Users\(YourUsername)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

3. Step You can move shortcuts here

4. Step All taskbar icons are stored in this folder – if you move pr delete them they will also disappear from the taskbar

Move To QuickLaunch Folder

1. Step Right-click on your taskbar, select Toolbars, then New Toolbar

2. Step Browse to a known location on your hard drive and create a new folder, then click Select Folder

3. Step Right-click on the text that appears on your taskbar. If you dont want the label, uncheck Show text

4. Step Next select Open folder

5. Step Drag and drop all shortcuts from the Taskbar folder to your new QuickLaunch-toolbar-folder and they will appear

6. Step Drag the dotted bar around to move your quick-launch toolbar
