Nothing, other than the usual “promoter’s decision is final” type clauses. But that does not mean that you don’t have to buy them. ViewSonic has recently started making interesting new-age gadgetry such as the ViewPad7 and TV’s with Boxee built right in to them. But this is the only model behind which they are putting their full weight. It is hard to tell though why they are trying to coincide their offer with the iPad 2 frenzy. Even though the ‘get it for free’ pitch often works, marketing experts have noted several times before that it can also backfire by reducing the perceived value of the product.

However, it is still to early in to the game for ViewSonic to go looking for response figures. So we’ll just have to wait and see how it pans out for them in the long run. There are already a lot of Android Tablets out there and hence it will be interesting if they succeed in gaining some kind of significance in an already crowded market.
