Restore Show Desktop Icon in 3 Steps
1. Step To restore the show desktop icon, open the notepad editor in Windows 7 and insert the following text:

Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
2. Step Next, save this file as a .sfc file (simply add .sfc to the filename and select All files (*.*) from the dropdown instead of Text file (*.txt))
3. Step Copy the icon to: C:Users[yourusername]AppDataRoamingMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick LaunchUser Pinned

1. Step Create a random shortcut or copy one of the existing icons on your desktop.

5. Step Pin the shortcut to your taskbar.
